THE ROLE

We’re now looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our data team in our tech department. Your initial focus will be on building A/B testing infrastructure and performance evaluation for our existing data science models. Further you’ll also lead the development, testing, and implementation of new data science and machine learning models. We’re working with the AWS technology stack, including Redshift, S3, EC2, Lambdas, SageMaker etc. with most data science models build in-house using Python & SQL.

As a Senior Data Scientist in Haypp, you’ll find modern technologies, agile workflows, and tight integration at the heart of the business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building A/B testing infrastructure and ensuring continuous performance evaluation of models in production. This role is critical in driving our data-driven initiatives and enhancing our product offerings. You will be working with the following things on a daily basis:

• Model Development: Design, develop, and deploy advanced machine learning models to solve complex business problems.
• A/B Testing Infrastructure: Build and maintain robust A/B testing frameworks to rigorously evaluate model performance and business impact.
• Continuous Performance Evaluation: Implement continuous monitoring and evaluation systems for models in production to ensure they meet performance standards and business objectives.
• Data Analysis: Perform extensive data analysis and statistical modeling to uncover insights and inform decision-making.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, product managers, and software developers, to integrate models into production systems.
• Mentorship: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data analysts, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
• Reporting: Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders through clear and compelling reports and presentations.

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU

Successful candidates also meets the following requirements

• Education: Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience: Around 5 years of experience in data science and machine learning, with a proven track record of deploying models in production.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and relevant data science libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, PyTorch, LLMs and AI models).
• Statistical Knowledge: Deep understanding of statistical analysis, experimental design, and A/B testing methodologies.
• Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
